Welcome to Y Gwir Yn Erbyn Byd, my latest baby and creation. For those of you who are not really familiar with Old Welsh, this saying means "Truth against the World". It refers to the practice of speaking Truth in all situations, to all people, regardless of how unwelcome it might be. Essentially, it is the antithesis of the modern approach of political-correctness. I use Morituri te Salutant as my handle to signify the imminent death of all things physical, both in a metaphorical and literal sense. Perhaps a little obscure, but I hope it will become more lucid in my blog posts.
This blog will deal with various issues that I come across in my daily life - mostly issues in social studies and secondary education, politics, music, the church and theology, philosophy, Dungeons and Dragons, culture, and (to be entirely frank) whatever strikes my fancy.
Posting will be semi-regular, with most weeks having about 3 or 4 new posts. Comments are welcome, though they are moderated, so please - let us refrain from spam, vulgarity, coarse discussion, etc. A civil tone is a beautiful thing, after all.
With all of that said, welcome again, and I look forward to writing and reading in the near future.
